Dr. Audrey Lavin knows the college scene. She has taught in English Departments at colleges similar to Midfield Campus College, colleges where murder may or may not have occurred.

She also has been a faculty member at highly ranked universities and colleges, such as Ohio’s Case Western Reserve U. (where she received her Ph.D.) and the College of Wooster. As a Fulbright Professor, she taught two years in Spain and continued to enliven pedagogy and discourse as a Visiting Professor at universities in 12 other countries from Colombia to Zambia.

Dr. Lavin’s essays and critical studies have appeared in The CEA Forum, College English, various E-Journals, the Journal of Popular Culture, Midstream, Ocean, Romance Notes, and Studies in English. She has published in even more obscure learned journals in Chili, Russia, Spain and the United States. Eloquent Corpse is her fifth book.

In May 2008 Audrey Lavin received her third State honor when she was inducted into Ohio's Senior Citizens Hall of Fame for her successes in writing and education, specifically "as a role model to all Ohioans following in <her> footsteps." Her two other Ohio awards were received from The Ohioana Association and the Ohio Humanities Commission

When not teaching, Lavin writes and bird watches in Canton, Ohio, where she lives with her consultant husband Carl. They have four children, four children-in-law, and eleven grandchildren.
