Dr. Audrey Lavin knows the college and writing scene. She has taught in English Departments at colleges similar to Midfield Campus College (see Eloquent Blood and new mystery in progress), colleges where murder may or may not have occurred. She has also attended and led many writers' conferences, which she affectionately satirizes in her murder mystery Eloquent Corpse . Lavin, B.S. Northwestern U., has been a faculty member at highly ranked universities and colleges, such as Ohio's Case Western Reserve U., where she received her Ph.D. and the College of Wooster. As a two time Fulbright Professor, she taught in Spain and continued to enliven pedagogy and discourse as a Visiting Professor in 12 other countries from Colombia to Zambia. Adventures from those countries (Turkey in Eloquent Corpse) and Zambia (in new detective novel in progress) add an individual spark to her murder mysteries. Dr. Lavin's creative non-fiction and critical studies have appeared in The CEA Forum , College English , the Journal of Popular Culture , Midstream , Ocean , Romance Notes , Studies in English , the Yellow Medicine Review , and various E-journals. She has published in even more obscure journals in Chili, Russia, Spain, the Ukraine and The United States. Be on the lookout for her sixth book, third murder mystery, with the working title That Young Man Eloquent .
